Getting Started to use SpyNoMore Anti-Spyware

SpyNoMore Home Edition is the perfect compliment to your Anti-Virus program. It offers powerful security and personal privacy feature that are not available with any other Anti-Spyware program. You will get excellent spyware protection and spyware remover.

Download SpyNoMore first: free download Install it.

The initial SpyNoMore screen that you will see after successful installation:

Scanning

Press the "Start Scan" button then select Scan Mode (Smart Scan or Full System Scan). In most cases, Smart Scan will be sufficient to remove any existing  infection.  If not, re-run the scan in Full System mode. Detected malware will be displayed in the right pane. Place your mouse (don't click) over any detected item to see a full description.

Removing Malware

To remove detected items, you will need to pay for and register your copy of SpyNoMore (see Registration below). By default, SpyNoMore will pre-select (check-mark) all detected items for deletion.  Press "Remove Spyware" button. Detected malware will be disabled and quarantined in the RollBack section (see RollBack below). It is advisable to run two consecutive scans in order to ensure that all detected item have been successfully removed.

Registration

To purchase your copy of SpyNoMore, click on "Register" (top left). SpyNoMore registration dialog will appear and it will direct you to a secure payment form. Payment processing will take no more than 3 minutes, after which you will receive your payment Receipt Number which also happens to be the activation key for SpyNoMore. Your Receipt Number will also be emailed to you for record keeping. To activate SpyNoMore, simply run the scan again, then click on "Remove Spyware". A menu will pop up and ask you to enter your Receipt Number. Once you enter the Receipt Number, SpyNoMore will self-activate.  Note that you need to be connected to the internet for this step.  

Two payment options are available.  SpyNoMore single-license sells for $29.95 and the 3-License Package sells for $39.95.  Your payment entitles you to a full 1-year subscription including live updates and customer support.

Updating

Press the "Updates" button to see what updates are available. If an update is available, SpyNoMore will notify you and allow you to download it.  To keep you system protected against future attacks, it is highly recommended that you frequently check for updates (for example, once daily). It is recommended to activate automatic checking for updates from the 'Settings' menu.

RollBack

All removed (quarantined) files are place in the RollBack section where they can be later reviewed, deleted or re-instated.  Once in RollBack, these files are de-activated and they no longer pose any threat to your PC. The purpose of placing files in RollBack (instead of permanently deleting them) is to allow you to reverse any changes performed by SpyNoMore. This may come in handy in case you remove a threat which was originally installed by a shareware program. Some shareware programs refuse to run once you remove the adware component that came with it.

Settings

Under settings, you can specify the connection you use and schedule automatic updates / scans.

Custom Fix (patent pending)

SpyNoMore's Custom Fix™ (patent pending) is a unique feature that is not available with any other anti-spyware program. Described briefly, it allows you to upload a report from your PC to our servers for manual review by our technical support staff who will analyze your report and issue you back a customized 'Fix' that specifically addresses your issue.  It basically puts our technical support staff's resources to work for you at no extra charge!  Custom Fix should be used as a last resort to tackle any stubborn infection that is not being corrected by the software.  SpyNoMore will check our servers for the Fix every 24 hours. When the Fix is ready, it will notify you and give you the option to download it.  You can also manually check to see if the Fix is available. Note that the report will only upload system setting information and will NOT include any personally identifying information.

Active Protection

Once SpyNoMore has cleaned your system, it is recommended that you apply Active Protection which effectively blocks access to spyware-spawning websites and prevents spyware programs from running on your system.  Pressing the "Status" buttons shows you the current status of your system and also informs you if any additional protection can be applied.
